Three nights of rest, worship, and fellowship at Shocco Springs. Everyone is invited.
Theme: Blessed to Belong · Ephesians 2:18–21
Labor Day weekend at Shocco Springs: three days of worship, the Word, outdoor time, and fellowship. Whether you've been at NCPC for years or just started visiting, you belong here.
We worship and learn as one body, all ages together. Families, couples, singles — everyone is welcome.
Even if you're new or still getting to know people, this weekend is one of the best ways to be known and to know others.
Scholarships are available. Just check the box on the registration form. It's confidential. We don't want finances to be a barrier to community.

This retreat is an extension of what He does among us every Lord's Day: drawing us near through His Word, shaping us by His Spirit, and binding us together as His covenant family.
"And let us consider how to stir one another up to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together." — Hebrews 10:24–25

Everyone in our covenant community: members, regular attenders, and visitors. Friends and extended family are welcome too, as space allows. If you've been thinking about getting more connected at NCPC, this is a wonderful way to do it.
Fill out the registration form below. It takes about 5 minutes. Registration closes August 23. Please register ASAP so we can ensure enough rooms are available. If you'd prefer help filling it out, just ask Susan or any planning team member at church.
We're collecting payment now. Robert Yi emails each registered family their exact total — if you haven't gotten yours, reach out to him. Pay by Zelle to NCPC, or write a check to the church with "Retreat" in the memo. If you'd like to split it into installments, just let Robert know and he'll work it out with you.
Yes. Check the scholarship box on the registration form. It's completely confidential. We don't want finances to be a barrier to fellowship. You can also contribute toward sponsoring another family.
You're still welcome. If you're staying overnight, the cost is the same whether you attend the full weekend or part of it — Shocco charges a flat rate and doesn't prorate for partial stays. If cost is a concern, the scholarship option is available.
Yes. Shocco allows day guests for a day-use fee, and you can join us for Sunday lunch. We just have to give Shocco a head count in advance, so let Robert or Susan know as early as you can — please don't plan to just show up.
Yes! Children are welcome and included in everything. Shocco has a playground, putt-putt golf, basketball courts, fishing, hiking trails, gagaball, and plenty of open space to run around. There will also be group games and community time for all ages. Parents remain responsible for their children throughout the weekend.
We have two buildings: Oakridge has a full-size bed plus bunk beds (great for families with children) and Springview has hotel-style full beds (accessible rooms available). Both have private bathrooms, climate control, and linens. Children stay in their parent(s)' room (no separate lodging needed; youth and child pricing covers meals only). Singles are paired with preferred roommates. The planning team assigns rooms once registration closes, and you'll get your room at the check-in table Friday. Traveling with a baby? A few pack-and-plays are reserved — tell Susan you need one, or bring your own.
Yes. Shocco requires a waiver from every adult, and each adult signs their own (it isn't part of the registration form). We'll send it out in August — watch for the email.
Yes. Note any allergies or dietary needs on the registration form and we'll coordinate with Shocco's dining staff in advance.
Tell us by August 21 and you'll get a full refund. After that the church is already committed to Shocco for your spot, so let Robert know as soon as you can and we'll do our best. Either way, please don't just not show up — every cancellation we know about early is a room we can offer someone else.
Comfortable clothes, walking shoes, toiletries, Bible, medications, sunscreen, bug spray. A detailed packing list will go out closer to the date. Note: Oakridge guests will need to dress their own beds (linens are provided).
Springview has accessible rooms. If you have specific mobility or accessibility needs, note them on the registration form or talk to Janet. We'll make sure you're taken care of.
